A chef lets salt fall from his raised hand with careful flair. Label the tiny addition that supposedly finishes a piece of work, improves a meal, or makes something look impressive.
The gesture gives a small finishing touch more ceremony than it needs. The added ingredient might be useful, decorative, or completely unhelpful.
You can label both the addition and what receives it. That makes the joke work for slides, recipes, messages, or any task someone wants to improve with one last detail.
Turkish chef Nusret Gökçe posted a video of himself cutting and seasoning steak on January 7, 2017. The salt falls from his fingers along his forearm. A Twitter repost by @lolalissaa used the nickname Salt Bae that day. [1]
Screenshots of the gesture quickly became caption images. Other people copied the seasoning move in videos, including versions with breakfast food and rainbow sprinkles. [1]
Put the addition beside the falling salt and the project near the bottom of the image. Keep the raised fingers and face clear.
The labels work best as a pair: a flashy detail and an ordinary piece of work. Use the caption to decide whether the finishing touch actually helps.
