Catching up over lunch
The inbox is much bigger than the time set aside to clear it.

Also called Yhorm Dark Souls · Man vs. Giant · Yhorm vs. Ashen One
A small warrior faces a towering armored giant. Label the giant as the overwhelming task and the warrior as the person, tool, or limited resources trying to take it on.
The size difference makes a challenge look far beyond the challenger’s capacity. A full inbox against a short break follows the same imbalance as the two figures in the picture.
The smaller figure is still advancing. That leaves room for both dread and determination: the task can be absurdly large without the caption declaring that the attempt has already failed.
The artwork depicts Yhorm the Giant facing the Ashen One from Dark Souls III. Artist Tatsuya posted it to Pixiv on March 23, 2016. It is an illustration of the characters, not a screenshot from the boss fight. [1]
An object-label version was documented in January 2018. Later versions circulated under names including Man vs. Giant and Yhorm vs. Ashen One, with the two figures standing for mismatched opponents or workloads. [1]
Put the large obstacle on the giant’s torso and the smaller challenger beside the warrior near the lower left. Leave both heads and the giant’s weapon visible.
Use concrete quantities or familiar limits. “400 emails” and “My lunch break” establish the mismatch more quickly than a general label such as “all my problems.”
