Mark asks how to do something. Omni-Man cheerfully tells him he cannot. Put the hopeful question above and the disappointing answer below.
The answer presents a drawback as if it were a helpful feature. Someone expects a method, a solution, or an eventual reward and discovers that none is coming.
A good question makes the missing possibility clear. The joke can be about a game with no ending, a job with no quiet week, or chores that never stay finished.
The scene comes from “Here Goes Nothing,” the second episode of Invincible, released on March 26, 2021. Mark asks his father how to breathe in space, and Omni-Man explains that he does not. The original line uses “neat thing”; the meme is commonly called “neat part.” [1] [2]
A June 24, 2021 Reddit post by Genericgumibear applied the exchange to student debt and buying a house. More edits followed, including a gaming version asking when the fun begins. [2]
Put a short how-or-when question in the space to Mark’s left. Add the answer to Omni-Man’s right below, above his pointing hand.
Keep the familiar “you don’t” response or write an equally blunt answer. Make sure it answers the question grammatically.
