Also called Disgusted Danny · Shocked Party Guy
An ordinary moment stops when someone notices one unpleasant detail. Use the startled expression for the thing that suddenly ruins the mood.
The man pauses with a bottle in his hand and a fixed, open-mouthed stare. A caption can turn that pause into the instant a strange taste, an awkward comment, or an unwelcome detail registers.
The format works with a small reversal: everything seemed fine until one piece of information changed it. State that detail directly and let the expression handle the reaction.
Leave the face and bottle clear. The lower shirt has space for a short question or realization.
Give the reader a specific cause for the reaction, such as a label on the container or the age of something in the shared fridge. A vague “that’s disgusting” adds less than the picture already shows.
