Master’s Blessing Meme Template

A kneeling knight raises a sword toward a towering figure. Label the two figures and the sword to turn an ordinary offering into a grand ceremony.

The scale difference makes the standing figure seem important and the kneeling figure devoted. The sword can represent a gift, a contribution, or something submitted for approval.

Small everyday offerings are especially effective against the dramatic painting: a toy brought to a dog, a snack for the cook, or a file sent to a helpful teammate.

Diana Franco, posting as MorkarDFC, shared “Master’s Blessing” on DeviantArt in September 2016. She later told Know Your Meme that she made it for the Daily Spitpaint group, using its title as a timed painting prompt. [1]

A Steam-related edit appeared on Memedroid in June 2018, and the painting spread more widely as an object-labeling meme that November. In March 2023, Franco identified herself as its creator in an online art discussion. [1]

Label the tall figure on the left, the kneeling figure at lower right, and the sword between them. Keep the glowing eyes and the sword’s outline visible.

Decide whether the sword is a gift or a request for approval. Then make the two character labels explain the relationship.
