Fry thrusts a fistful of cash forward before the sales pitch is over. Use him to show instant enthusiasm for a product, feature, or completely imaginary invention.
The gesture says the decision has already been made. More details, objections, and sensible questions can wait because the idea sounds too appealing.
It can also make fun of your own priorities. A tiny convenience can seem worth any price when Fry is doing the negotiating.
The image comes from the Futurama episode Attack of the Killer App, which aired on July 1, 2010. Fry wants an eyePhone, the show’s parody of an iPhone. When the shop employee starts explaining its reception and battery problems, Fry interrupts with the line that names the meme. [1] [2]
Know Your Meme records a captioned frame on the German technology blog Crackajack the next day. The image and quote then became a way to greet ideas that need no further sales pitch. [2]
This blank version has no printed catchphrase. You can add the familiar line, or put the idea you want to buy along the lower edge and let Fry’s gesture do the rest.
For an original caption, describe one clear benefit. A made-up convenience is often funnier than a product name that readers may not recognize.
