Also called Angry Santa Letter · Santa Reading a Letter
Santa enters a bedroom, reads a wish list, and reacts with a gun. Replace the letter in the third panel with an absurd request that explains this cartoon overreaction.
The first two panels suggest a normal Christmas visit. The letter interrupts that expectation, and the last panel supplies a deliberately excessive response.
The joke sits in the contrast between a petty request and Santa’s fury. The format is darker than a disappointed-face reaction, so the wording needs to make the absurdity clear.
Comics artist spaceboycantlol posted the four-panel strip on Facebook on December 19, 2018. It follows Santa from the window to a child’s bedside, then reveals the letter that provokes his reaction. [1]
A Reddit edit appeared the following day, changing the letter to a complaint about the upvote button. Further versions reused the same sequence with different requests on the paper. [1]
Write the request on the white sheet in the lower-left panel. The other three panels already establish the visit, the reading, and the reaction, so extra labels usually slow the sequence down.
Pick an obviously annoying wish rather than a serious demand. More adverts or batteries sold separately give the cartoon reaction a deliberately trivial cause.
