A visitor thinks there has been a mistake at Hell’s reception. Their explanation earns them a trip to Extra Hell instead. Fill the second speech bubble with the habit that gives them away.
The visitor mistakes being absent from the list for proof they do not belong in Hell. The final panel reveals a worse destination, turning their proud explanation into the reason for it.
Meme captions often give the visitor a petty but irritating habit. The punishment is deliberately disproportionate: leaving an empty carton in the fridge can be treated like a terrible offense.
Michael Ashton of Light Roast Comics created the four-panel strip. The original, posted as A Hot Take on May 30, 2019, has the visitor boast about being a mega-preacher with several private planes before being escorted to Extra Hell. [3] [1] [2]
Reddit users began replacing the second-panel boast on the same day. Keeping the other panels intact lets each new confession lead to the same silent reassignment. [2]
Write in the empty speech bubble in the upper-right panel. Leave the first panel’s conversation, the silent third panel, and the Extra Hell sign alone so the comic keeps its setup, pause, and reveal.
Use the first person and sound oddly proud of the habit. A short, specific confession gives the reader time to notice where the visitor is being taken.
