Also called Death Knocking on Doors · Grim Reaper Knocking on Door
The Grim Reaper has passed three doors and is knocking on the fourth. Label the earlier targets, the next target and whatever keeps coming for them.
The open doors and the trail behind the Reaper show a streak. The closed door shows what could be next. Give the Reaper a label that explains what links all the targets.
The cause can be a chore, a recurring expense, or a player clearing levels. The final door is still closed, so the image predicts the next encounter without showing its outcome.
Know Your Meme documents an August 2013 political version of Death Knocking on Doors posted on Taringa. It notes that the drawing may be older, so that post does not establish when the artwork was created. [1]
Later versions apply the sequence of doors to sports and games. This page uses a blank four-door image. [1]
Label the three open doors from left to right, then label the closed door as the next target. Put the cause of the streak on the Reaper’s robe below its face.
Use an example to replace the editor’s text with all five labels. Keep the door labels short so they fit inside the narrow panels.
