Admit a small secret as though you have been carrying it for years. The bear’s tilted head gives a harmless confession an unnecessarily guilty expression.
The bear leans on a log with a downcast-looking face. Captions use that posture as the voice of someone admitting something they normally keep to themselves.
A small habit is enough: pretending to understand a reference, buying stationery instead of working, or secretly preferring the easy game setting. The mismatch between the guilt and the low stakes makes the joke.

On June 21, 2012, Reddit user F-18Bro introduced Confession Bear on r/AdviceAnimals. The format invited personal admissions and opinions that people might hesitate to say aloud. [2]
Put the setup above the bear and the confession on the log below. Leave the eyes and tilted head clear; the apparent guilt is part of the delivery.
Write in the first person. A plain admission usually sounds funnier than a dramatic explanation of why you should feel bad about it.
