Use a proposal that sounds appealing in the meeting but removes the business’s reason or ability to operate. Keep the logic simple enough for the last panel to explain it.
The sequence comes from the Good Ideas, Inc. sketch in MAD’s 100th Episode Special. In the original gag, an employee questions why the company only makes bad ideas, prompting a change that ends with the closure. [1]
The special aired on November 11, 2013. The template removes the meeting’s text so a new proposal can lead to the same final result. [2]
Put a short company name on the white board in the first panel. Add the proposal below the woman in the next panel, then a brief approving answer beside the manager.
Leave the raised hands and the final “Closed Forever” sign clear. Those panels already show the vote and its result.
