Loki makes a confident claim and Tony answers with one advantage of his own. Give the top panel a boast or challenge, then use the bottom panel for a short comeback.
Tony treats Loki’s big threat as a problem his team already has covered. The reply works when it names something that can outweigh the first speaker’s apparent advantage.
The counter can be an ordinary tool, a helpful person, or a small convenience. Giving it the same confidence as the original superhero reply is part of the joke.
The exchange appears in The Avengers (2012), with Tom Hiddleston as Loki and Robert Downey Jr. as Tony Stark. Loki says, “I have an army.” Tony replies, “We have a Hulk.” [2] [1]
Audiences heard the exchange before the film reached cinemas. ComingSoon’s report from Disney’s D23 Expo on August 20, 2011 describes the footage, including Tony’s answer at the bar. [1]
Put Loki’s line at the bottom of the upper panel and Tony’s reply at the bottom of the lower panel. Leave their faces visible so the confidence in the exchange still reads.
The second caption should answer the first. A random powerful object is less satisfying than a modest resource that happens to solve exactly this problem.
