Also called Headache Chart Meme · Four Types of Headaches · Red Head Headache Meme
Three labeled headache illustrations lead to a fourth head colored completely red. Give that final panel the everyday annoyance that feels worse than all the others.
The first three panels establish the pattern. The completely red fourth head exaggerates the frustration caused by whatever you add to its empty label.
The added “headache” is a metaphor: a tangled spreadsheet, a forgotten password, or instructions that still make no sense. One concrete nuisance is enough to complete the joke.
Know Your Meme traces the source chart to a March 24, 2017 Bright Side article. The meme rearranges the illustrations into four panels and adds a fully red head for a new, humorous category. [1]
A documented October 30, 2017 Instagram edit by a Rainbow Six Siege meme account used that fourth panel for a gaming frustration. Further versions spread through Instagram, Reddit, and Twitter in the following days. [1]
Know Your Meme identifies a Bright Side article containing the earlier illustration. [1]
A Rainbow Six Siege edit adds the fully red head and a gaming complaint. [1]
Users apply the chart to other communities and everyday annoyances. [1]
Put the annoyance in the empty lower-right label space. Leave the title and the first three labels intact so the fourth category breaks the established pattern.
Keep the text short. The red head supplies the scale of the frustration; you only need to name its cause.
