Mr. Bean stands, checks his watch, sits down, and finally lies in the grass. Add four short captions to show a wait taking far longer than expected.
The setting stays the same while Bean’s posture changes. That makes the passing time visible even when the thing he is waiting for never appears.
Each panel can mark another stage of the delay. Repeated status messages work well because the words promise movement while the pictures show that nothing useful has happened.
The frames come from Mr. Bean’s Holiday, the 2007 film starring Rowan Atkinson. Bean’s trip through France includes a wait beside a field for a passing car to give him a ride. [1] [2]
Captioned versions of the field scene were circulating by September 2016. An October 2016 post used four frames with successive years to stretch the wait for a relationship across the sequence. [2]

Read left to right across the top, then across the bottom. Put each short caption near the bottom of its panel, keeping Bean’s face and watch visible.
Start with what you are waiting for. The next captions can repeat a status, count elapsed time, or reveal how little progress has happened. Save the shortest, most deflating line for the final panel.
