A man in a patterned shirt points into the distance beside a boy in a matching shirt. Write the thing he is proudly showing off, then use a second line to make it unexpectedly ordinary.
The pointing gesture sets up a lesson, discovery, or proud introduction. The caption can turn that serious presentation into a small observation or a dad joke.
The familiar “Look, son…” opening makes the man the speaker. The second line can finish his sentence or give the boy a brief reply.
Start the sentence along the upper-left part of the image, clear of the man’s face. Put the ending near the bottom across the shirts.
Keep the observation short. An empty parking space or one unusually tidy corner becomes funny when it is presented as an important discovery.
