Also called Ah Shit, Here We Go Again · CJ Walking · GTA San Andreas Here We Go Again
CJ walks into an alley with the weary sense that he has done this before. Add the recurring task, familiar argument, or repeated failure you are about to face again.
This is a reaction to recognizing the start of an unwanted repeat. The problem has not necessarily happened yet; you already know how the next part goes.
It fits returning to a difficult game level, fixing the same device, or starting another round of a routine chore. The existing subtitle provides the resignation.
The scene appears near the beginning of Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas. After corrupt police officers drop Carl “CJ” Johnson in hostile territory, he walks away with the line used in the meme. Rockstar lists the original release as October 26, 2004. [1] [2]
Know Your Meme documents a 2015 video upload and forum reaction, followed by captioned versions in 2017 and 2018. A green-screen edit posted by @ChaoticGeekCG on April 3, 2019 helped the scene spread as a reusable video reaction. [1]
The game’s opening supplies CJ’s walk and line. [2]
A video upload and forum post are documented from this year. [1]
Image edits apply CJ’s reaction to new situations. [1]
Creators place CJ’s walk into other scenes. [1]
Put a short setup in the open alley on the left. Keep CJ on the right and the original subtitle visible.
Use a situation with a recognizable history: “again,” “another,” or a specific recurring trigger can make the repetition clear without a long explanation.
