Also called I Saw 14,000,605 Futures · I Looked Forward in Time · Doctor Strange One
Doctor Strange has checked millions of possible futures, and your question gets a very short answer: one. Add Tony Stark’s question to make that number the punchline.
This three-panel version has the enormous number of futures printed at the top and “One” at the bottom. The open middle panel is for the question connecting those two numbers.
The contrast makes an ordinary success sound almost impossible. Ask how often everyone chooses the same restaurant, a meeting ends early, or a package arrives at the right moment.
In Avengers: Infinity War, Doctor Strange looks ahead at 14,000,605 possible outcomes. Tony Stark asks how many end in victory, and Strange answers that there is just one. The film opened in the United States on April 27, 2018. [1]
Captioned versions keep the scale of Strange’s search and replace Stark’s question. That change turns the scene’s high-stakes calculation into a prediction about everyday odds. [1]
Add your question near the bottom of Tony Stark’s middle panel. Leave the printed dialogue in the first and third panels untouched.
Ask for a count, such as “How many…” or “In how many…”. A yes-or-no question will not connect cleanly with the fixed answer.
