Double D presents a book marked “Facts,” then opens it to reveal your message. Put a playful opinion or familiar observation on the blank page and let the serious presentation make it sound definitive.
The book acts like an authority for whatever the caption says. Calling a small preference a fact is the joke; the picture does not make the claim true.
The reveal can be a harmless declaration, a rule everyone in your group recognizes, or a very specific complaint. It works best when the reader understands the whole point in one short sentence.
The frames come from “A Twist of Ed,” an Ed, Edd n Eddy episode listed with a November 17, 2003 air date. Edd, also called Double D, presents a psychology book in the scene. The meme edits its cover to read “Facts” and replaces the contents. [1] [2]
Know Your Meme records edited versions posted by Damarko Berry in July 2017. An August Reddit variation used the “Facts” cover, and later versions filled the open page with different opinions and jokes. [2]

Documented Facebook posts replace the book’s title and contents. [2]
Reddit and Facebook variations use the revised cover to present new statements. [2]
Write your statement in black on the pale page in the lower picture. The upper picture already announces the book as a source of facts, so it needs no extra caption.
Keep the sentence short enough to read without covering Double D’s face or hands. A confident, specific statement usually fits the reveal better than a question.
