The delivery update
Two pieces of tracking information contradict each other.
Read caption text
- The confusing situation
- Delivered. Estimated arrival: tomorrow.
Use the puzzled stare for an explanation that leaves you with more questions than you started with.
The raised eyebrows and slightly open mouth can stand in for a silent “What?” Your caption supplies the detail that does not add up.
This crop works as one reaction, without a second character or a reply. A baffling instruction, a contradictory status message, or an unexplained number gives the face something to react to.
Give the reader the confusing statement directly. “When the delivery update says delivered tomorrow” is easier to picture than a general caption about confusing websites.
Keep the text along the bottom of the image. The eyes and eyebrows carry the reaction, so covering them makes the caption do more work.
