Also called Chuck Norris Facts · Chuck Norris Muscles
Give Chuck Norris an impossible advantage over an everyday annoyance. The flexing pose suits a short, absurd “fact” in which the usual rules stop applying to him.
Norris faces the camera with his arms flexed across his chest. The confident pose makes a straight-faced delivery for claims that are obviously impossible.
The joke works by reversing who has power: a loading bar waits for him, or Monday worries about his arrival. The more ordinary the obstacle, the easier the reversal is to understand.
Chuck Norris Facts grew out of exaggerated Vin Diesel jokes shared on Something Awful in 2005. A random fact generator helped spread the format, and Chuck Norris became the subject of a related set of impossible feats. [1]
These “facts” turn the actor’s tough-guy image into deliberate fantasy. A flexing portrait fits that tradition, although the joke format’s 2005 origin does not establish a date for this particular photograph. [1]
Jokes about Vin Diesel and an online fact generator lead to the Chuck Norris Facts format. [1]
Write one impossible claim on the lower half of the picture. Keep the face clear so the calm expression can contrast with the absurd caption.
Start with a familiar situation, then reverse it. Instead of waiting for a computer, he makes the computer wait; instead of worrying about Monday, he gives it a reason to worry.
