A handshake with Joe Biden appears above a tense conversation with Donald Trump and JD Vance. Use the two photographs to contrast an easy agreement with the argument that follows.
The upper photograph supplies a friendly beginning; the lower photograph supplies a much less comfortable discussion. Together they suit a before-and-after joke about a plan that becomes difficult once details arrive.
The images show separate real meetings. In a captioned joke they can stand for everyday situations, but the caption is an analogy rather than a record of what the people said.
The upper photograph shows Volodymyr Zelenskyy shaking hands with Joe Biden during his December 2023 White House visit. The U.S. Embassy in Kyiv shared this photograph with a caption identifying that visit. [1]
The lower photograph shows the February 28, 2025 Oval Office meeting with Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance. Their discussion with Zelenskyy became a public argument about the war in Ukraine and U.S. support. The template places the two meetings together to emphasize the contrast. [2]
Use the white band above each photograph for its caption. This keeps the handshake, faces, and gestures visible and makes the two stages easy to compare.
Choose two moments in the same activity: planning a trip and splitting the bill, for example. Short situation labels keep the joke distinct from a fabricated speech bubble or quotation.
