Hela dismisses Thor, who points to a much stronger answer. Label the three panels with a stubborn problem, an inadequate solution, and the thing that can finally handle it.
The middle character admits a limitation but has another option ready. The last panel supplies the real solution, which can be much more powerful or simply better suited to the problem.
The comparison works best when the third label solves the exact obstacle in the first. A jar opener beating a stuck lid is enough; the fiery scene makes the small victory grand.
The scene comes from Thor: Ragnarok, released in 2017. Cate Blanchett’s Hela tells Chris Hemsworth’s Thor that he cannot defeat her; Thor’s answer refers to Surtur, whose arrival leads to Asgard’s destruction. [1]
Know Your Meme documents a July 2, 2018 Facebook edit from Marvel Shieldposting that labels the characters with World Cup teams. Further edits used the three roles for games and other comparisons. [1]
The final confrontation provides Hela’s challenge and Thor’s answer. [1]
Marvel Shieldposting replaces the characters’ roles with football teams. [1]
Imgur and Reddit variations apply the scene to new matchups. [1]
Label Hela with the obstacle in the top panel. Label Thor with the person or tool that cannot quite solve it, then put the effective solution in the final panel.
Keep the existing dialogue readable. Your labels provide the roles; the original lines already explain the handoff.
