A man tries to carry a pile of limes while some slip from his arms. Replace the fruit in the caption with whatever you have taken on more of than you can manage.
The image makes overload physical: there are too many things and not enough hands. The objects can stand for groceries, unfinished tasks, or commitments.
The failure is visible before the reader reaches the punchline. A good caption names one specific kind of excess rather than explaining the whole situation.
The source image is a photograph of an in-store display advertising George clothing. The model’s awkward armful of limes became the focus of the joke. The exact creator of the first captioned version is not confirmed. [1]

An early documented post uses the familiar question about holding limes. [1]
An archived imageboard thread includes versions with different objects. [1]
A Reddit post helps connect the meme to the clothing advertisement. [1]
Start with “Why can’t I hold” at the top. Finish with “all these” and your chosen object at the bottom.
Keep the face, arms, and falling fruit visible. You can change only the words; the limes already provide the visual metaphor for having too much to handle.
