Ron Burgundy sits back with a drink after things got out of hand. Add the small beginning and surprisingly large outcome, then use his reaction underneath.
The joke is the speed of the change. A minor question becomes an argument, a quick task becomes a project, or a small purchase becomes a collection.
Show both the modest starting point and the oversized result. Without that jump, the reaction has less to react to.
