Turn the pointed finger back on yourself. Write the rule, reminder, or pep talk you need to hear before you go back into the situation.
The person giving the advice and the person receiving it are the same. That makes the format useful for promises to yourself, private rehearsals, and trying to interrupt a familiar bad habit.
The stern expression gives the reminder more force than it needs. A rule about buying notebooks can look as serious as a major life decision.
The illustration comes from a wikiHow article originally titled “How to Resist Sexual Temptation,” later renamed “How to Control Sexual Urges.” Know Your Meme documents the drawing in captioned posts from December 2015. [1]
Those posts reused the mirror scene for self-directed advice and reassurance. The joke depends on the speaker trying to persuade their own reflection. [1]
Write as if you are addressing yourself: “We came for batteries” or “You can leave after one episode.” The reflection makes the second person clear.
Keep the eyes and fingertip uncovered. A caption near the bottom of the image leaves the confrontation intact and gives longer reminders enough room.
