Also called Jehovas Witness Squirrel · Excuse Me Sir, Do You Have a Moment? · Squirrel at Camera Lens
A squirrel gets right up to a photographer’s lens. Give it a polite opening and an oddly specific topic that simply cannot wait.
The squirrel stretches down a tree until its face reaches the camera lens. The photographer is already occupied, which makes the animal look like a determined visitor trying to start a conversation.
The familiar caption begins with a courteous interruption, then introduces the subject. You can make that subject a hobby, a recommendation, or a small request that has become far too urgent.
Put the greeting above the squirrel and the topic along the bottom. Leave the meeting point between its nose and the lens unobstructed.
A question such as “Have you tried…” turns the squirrel into a very enthusiastic recommender. The topic can be as small as a bread recipe or a favorite board game.
