Skipper pops out of a hole and immediately asks you to forget it. Add the harmless thing you were caught doing, and let the printed denial become the punchline.
The penguin is plainly visible, so the denial is unconvincing from the start. The image works for a small secret or an attempt to play off an obvious mistake.
A caption can describe the moment someone walks in: testing the birthday cake, taking another biscuit, or practicing a presentation aloud. The viewer becomes the witness Skipper wants to dismiss.
The frame comes from DreamWorks’ Madagascar, released in 2005. During the penguins’ tunneling attempt at the zoo, Skipper emerges into Marty’s enclosure and insists that Marty has seen nothing. [1] [2]
DreamWorks’ official Madagascar channel shares the sequence as “You Didn’t See Anything. Right?” The denial in this template is already printed on the image, matching the scene’s central joke. [2]
The film includes Skipper’s attempt to keep the tunnel a secret. [1]
Know Your Meme’s Madagascar gallery records an example using the denial scene by this date. [3]
The official Madagascar channel publishes a clip of the exchange. [2]
Add one setup in the grass above Skipper. Leave his face, raised flippers, and the existing subtitle clear. You only need to supply the situation.
Keep the secret small and recognizable. The joke is that everyone can already see what happened, but the speaker tries to dismiss the evidence anyway.
