Reject one option in the top row and choose another in the bottom row. The blank panels give each preference its own space beside Geordi’s reaction.
The raised hand says no; the pointing hand picks the alternative. Both captions should describe comparable options so the preference is obvious.
The lower option can be sensible, oddly specific, or knowingly worse. The joke is the reason this particular person prefers it, not a universal ranking.
The character is Geordi La Forge, played by LeVar Burton in Star Trek: The Next Generation. StarTrek.com identifies La Forge as an Enterprise engineer and Burton as the actor behind the role. [1]
Know Your Meme lists Geordi as one of the characters used in variants of Drakeposting: a first image rejects a statement, and a second approves an alternative. [2]
Place the rejected choice in the upper right box and the preferred choice in the lower right box. Keep the text on the white half of the image; the gestures on the left explain how to read it.
Use parallel wording where possible. Two activities, two products, or two responses are easier to compare than a question in one box and a long explanation in the other.
