One dog taps another on the head with a bat beneath a printed BONK. Label the larger dog with whatever interrupts, corrects, or shuts down the smaller dog’s plans.
The picture turns an interruption into a cartoon impact. One side has an idea; the other has a rule, reminder, or inconvenient fact that ends it.
It also works for a disagreement inside your own head. An alarm can stop the wish for more sleep, or a word limit can cut short a very ambitious introduction.
The wider Bonk meme uses a cartoon hit and a sound-effect caption to interrupt a character. Know Your Meme documents a July 13, 2019 Instagram video by snootboopes that paired dog photographs with an edited hammer and a bonk sound. [1]
That early video used a different dog photograph. The format later spread through Doge-related images and videos; this two-dog template uses the same comic-impact idea as a still image. The July date belongs to the broader format, not a verified first post of this exact edit. [1]
Label the larger dog on the left with the thing doing the stopping. Put the idea or person being interrupted on the smaller dog at the right. Leave the bat and the printed sound effect clear.
Use short labels rather than dialogue. The direction of the bat already explains which side wins the moment.
